Burnsland Cemetery Tour - Remembrance Day
Join us in Burnsland Cemetery on November 11 to learn the stories and lives of the men who returned from World War 1.
To learn about the ordinary folks who did extraordinary things, join a volunteer guide for a tour at the historic Union Cemetery. All tours begin at the Galloway House at Union Cemetery and then proceed to Burnsland Cemetery.
Join us in Union Cemetery on November 11 to learn the stories and lives of the men who returned from World War I. While we honour the men who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the Great War, this tour will focus on men who fought and survived World War I.
Tours may be cancelled due to extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances. If you do not see your tour guide, please contact 3-1-1 for an update on the tour status as 311 operators will be notified if a tour is cancelled.
Please arrive on-time to secure your registered spot as space is limited. Any open spaces at the beginning of the tour will be given to walk-up participants.
Free street parking is available along Spiller Road.
Note: Cemeteries are not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Pets are not permitted. Terrain contains uneven ground and slopes - comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
