Teetotal Initiative is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)3 non-profit focused on individuals committed to a sober lifestyle.Teetotal Initiative’s inclusive and sober-focused high-quality programming addresses some of the most common causes of relapse - isolation, boredom, and loneliness. Our mission is to help individuals to sustain sobriety. Our goal is to enhance quality of life and support relapse prevention through free events, activities, and high-quality programming.​As the first-of-its-kind recreational sober community, Teetotal Initiative inspires a stigma-free and celebratory social atmosphere, promoting meaningful sobriety and community opportunities for all, regardless of their journey to recovery. We welcome all forms of recovery and are not aligned to any specific program. Teetotal Initiative does not provide support groups or professional medical services. Instead, we care for the “rest of life” that happens outside of formal treatment and group support and are a complement to anyone’s recovery toolbox.

Join us for Fill Your Cup — An Evening to Reset and ReconnectRelax, unwind, and reconnect through gentle movement, sound bath, tea, and meaningful connection.Take a pause from the busyness of life and step into a space designed to help you slow down, reset, and feel supported.Fill Your Cup is a welcoming, low-pressure gathering where you can unwind, move gently, and connect with others in a cozy, calming environment.During our time together, you’ll experience:✨ Gentle movement to release tension and settle into your body🎶 A deeply relaxing sound bath, inviting rest and restoration🌿 A short wisdom reflection focused on self-care, inner peace, and connection☕ Tea time with nourishing treats, encouraging conversation and communityThis evening isn’t about performance or perfection—it’s about creating a space where you can simply be. Come as you are, and leave feeling lighter, grounded, and refreshed.🧘 What to bring:A yoga mat and anything that helps you feel comfortable (optional blanket or pillow). Yoga mats will be available to borrow if you don’t have one.💛 Who it’s for:Open to all—no prior experience with yoga, meditation, or spiritual practices is needed.We’d love to have you join us for this special evening of rest, reflection, and connection. About the instructors: Rachel ManaoisRachel is a Pittsburgh-based nuclear engineer who spent several years working with the U.S. Navy on submarine programs. Alongside her career, she has always been passionate about personal growth, spiritual wisdom, and building meaningful community.She shares practical insights through retreats, classes, and her podcast Gita In Action, where she explores how timeless teachings can help us live with more clarity, purpose, and balance. Rachel loves creating welcoming spaces where people can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most.She is also a wife and mom, and brings warmth and real-life perspective into everything she offers. Vrindavan PriyaVrinde is a musician and artist known for her uplifting kirtan and sound experiences rooted in ancient mantra traditions.Originally from Czechoslovakia, she discovered sacred chanting as a teenager during the cultural shifts of Eastern Europe in the late 1980s. The music’s sense of unity and joy stayed with her and became a lifelong path of exploration.Today she shares these musical experiences in homes, yoga studios, festivals, and retreats, inviting people to relax, sing, and experience the powerful connection that music can create.
