What is the weather policy?

Our tours proceed rain or (moon)shine! Please wait to purchase tickets until you are sure that the weather will not impact your plans, especially if you are traveling from out of town or have health and/or mobility concerns.

What happens in the event of thunderstorms?

Cape May often experiences single-cell thunderstorms during summer, which begin and end very quickly. To keep guests safe, we make decisions regarding thunderstorms AT THE TOUR START TIME. Because these storms develop and end suddenly, we cannot provide advance cancellation notice.

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Ticket holders may submit a refund request through Eventbrite up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled tour start time to receive an automatic refund for any reason, minus Eventbrite's fees, which are nonrefundable. Tours that proceed as scheduled are not eligible for refunds past the 24-hour window.

Is this a scary tour?

No! Our tours focus on haunted history, not horror. The hauntings we feature on the tour are atmospheric, but not intended to be frightening. However, this tour does address some sensitive topics--see below for more details.

How many locations are featured on the tour?

We share exclusive stories of six of Cape May's most haunted locations, including the Angel of the Sea Inn, the Peter Shields Inn, and the site of the Christian Admiral Hotel.

Do we go inside any buildings?

Accepted Answer

Our tours are entirely open-air and do not include any building interiors.

Question 7

How much walking is involved?

Accepted Answer

This tour includes 10-15 minutes of walking time, in stretches of 2-4 minutes at a time, and covers half a mile.

Is the tour route accessible?

Accepted Answer

Our tour meets on the Trenton Avenue beach, which is accessible by ramp. The route then proceeds on level sidewalk throughout.

Is the tour appropriate for all ages?

Accepted Answer

This tour contains potentially sensitive topics and is recommended for guests 16 & up. Topics include multiple accidental deaths, including some by catastrophic injury, and one of a minor under the age of 16. We aim to treat these subjects respectfully and without explicit detail.

Do infants in strollers need tickets?

Accepted Answer

Infants in strollers and those being carried do not need tickets. However, due to our capacity limits, all other guests require tickets.

Question 11

Can I change my tickets for another time or date?

Accepted Answer

Guests who need to change their tickets for another time or date should request a refund on their current tickets at least 24 hours ahead of their scheduled tour and then repurchase for their preferred time or date. Please note Eventbrite's fees are nonrefundable on the originally-purchased tickets.

There aren't enough tickets left for my group! Can you make more tickets available?

Our tour capacity is set by our mercantile license agreement with the City of Cape May. We cannot make more tickets available once we reach that capacity. Please try booking for a different date or time with more capacity!

Are dogs allowed?

Accepted Answer

Service animals needed for accessibility are welcome on our tours, but we cannot accommodate pets.

Question 14

Is smoking allowed?

Accepted Answer

For the health and comfort of all tour guests, we ask that tour guests refrain from smoking, vaping, or otherwise using tobacco and/or marijuana during the tour and while waiting for the tour to start at the tour meeting place.
