No experience needed. Learn the basics of wheel throwing and trimming over 2 Friday nights.  Small class size.

North Queensland Potters Association

Overview 1st Night - you will be guided through essential techniques including clay preparation, centering, opening, pulling walls and removing a vessel from the wheel.2nd Night - covers trimming your pieces ready for firing. Other topics covered included signing your work, slop buckets, how to best clean your wheel, firing process, glaze choices and choosing your best 2 pieces for firinging and glazing. Collection of finished work will be discussed.What to bring - Apron or wear comfortable old clothes, old towel, water bottle, short or trimmed nails. Arrive 10 mins before.Taught by Johanna Wiggers who is a member of NQPA and an experienced wheelthrower.Should a workshop be cancelled due to lack of participants your payment will be refunded.
