Happy Hour with Spendthrift Lover at The Eleven

Spendthrift Lover plays a unique repertoire of tunes gathered together over 2 decades, inspired by the music of Appalachia, and heavily influenced by the blues. The duo consists of multi-instrumentalists Brian Axford and Lauren Chiyoko whose harmonies are like two voices, one soul. At times this moving blend of genres pulls at the heartstrings, and at others, calls for foot stompin', hollerin', and two-steppin'. Brian and Lauren are both involved in other musical pursuits around the Capital Region (Playhouse Stage Company, (WAMM Women Are Making Music), to name a couple), but when their worlds collide- it is something special.
