ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Ev'Yan Whitney (they/them) is a writer, somatic practitioner, and educator who helps people slow down and remember the pleasure, wisdom, and aliveness of their body, using senses-based practices and gentle self-inquiry. They are the author of Sensual Self: Prompts and Practices for Getting in Touch With Your Body and have a podcast of the same name.

Oludara Adeeyo is a Los Angeles-based mental health therapist and author of Self-Care for Black Women, Affirmations for Black Women: A Journal, Mind, Body, & Soul: A Self-Care Coloring Book for Black Women, Meditations for Black Women, and Self-Care for Black Women Deck. She is passionate about helping people, especially Black women, improve their overall wellness.

Before becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Oludara worked as an associate web editor at Cosmopolitan and as a managing editor at XXL. Her writing has also appeared in Women’s Health and Wondermind. She lives in Los Angeles, but is a Jersey girl at heart.

In order to provide this monthly space, which requires planning and staffing on our part, we really appreciate communication if you will no longer be able to attend. No-shows really cramp our style (of course, excluding emergencies). Purchasing a ticket, at any price, means you're claiming a spot from someone else, so please be mindful!

Event tickets are non-refundable.
