As we wander through the peaceful grounds, you'll have the chance to discover intricate symbolism adorning gravestones and monuments, each telling a unique story about the lives and beliefs of those laid to rest. Get ready to be transported through time as we unravel the tales of those who now find their eternal rest in these hallowed grounds.Your host will be Kathleen Maca, author of Galveston's Broadway Cemeteries, who has been featured on Texas Country Reporter, Texas Chronicles, Texas Monthly, Texas Highways, Discovery + and the Magnolia Network. A local historian and writer, she has spent over 50 years researching historic cemeteries and is a Certified Tourism Ambassador.Please note:Uneven walking paths. No video or audio recording allowed during the tour. Still photos are encouraged! Guide takes no responsibility for injuries incurred during tour. No restrooms on site.Tour will be given rain or shine except in the case of a severe thunderstorm. No refunds unless tour is cancelled.Some content not appropriate for small children.
