Gardens, Lawns, and Landscapes

This collection contains workshops that focus on your central Florida yard. From lawns to vegetable gardens, tree care to composting. We have workshops to help you successfully manage your landscape and lawn as well as grow your own edible plants.

Homesteading Skills

Homesteading skills are all about self-sufficiency. You'll find programs here about growing your own food, raising backyard poultry, food preservation, and more. Reach out to us if there is a topic you'd like us to add: polk@ifas.ufl.edu

Growing some of your own food is rewarding, tasty, and fun! Get expert advice from Polk County Master Gardener Volunteers on vegetable gardening.
