Overview

Join the Ward 7 Democrats for the first official debate of DC’s mayoral election season! Dinner and refreshments will be provided!

Ward 7—especially communities East of the Anacostia River—deserve more than drive-by promises; we deserve real answers.

This debate is produced in partnership with WUSA9 and will be moderated by Lorenzo Hall. The questions were developed using exclusive social determinants of health data provided by Dr. Christopher King, inaugural Dean of Georgetown University’s School of Health—ensuring the conversation is grounded in real data, not rhetoric.

Participating candidates were invited based on demonstrated local support, measured by the number of Fair Elections Program donors residing in Ward 7 zip codes East of the Anacostia River.

We are proud to partner with East River Family Strengthening Collaborative (ERFSC), a cornerstone Ward 7 nonprofit celebrating 30 years of service to families and community this August.

This event is led by the Ward 7 Democrats Elections Committee, whose work is focused on increasing civic engagement, voter education, and informed participation across the ward.

Please Read Before Arrival:
• Space is limited and entry will be managed at the door
• If capacity is reached, Ward 7 residents will be prioritized for admission
• Arrival time matters—early arrival is strongly encouraged
• Come as you are—casual attire encouraged
