The new Whitworth Ferguson Planetarium at SUNY Buffalo State brings the wonders of the Universe to the Western New York community through educational programs and entertainment experiences. Our educational programs cover various topics in astronomy and planetary science where you can learn about the night sky or be transported throughout our solar system and beyond! Our laser music experiences are audio visual masterpieces that will dazzle the senses!

Explore the skies of the spring and early summer seasons over Buffalo with this interactive sky tour. Spring in the Northern Hemisphere brings many changes, including warmer weather, longer days, and blooming flowers. For stargazers, the new season also brings changes in the night sky. As the famous winter constellations progress westward, new spring constellations take their place in the best part of the night sky. Explore the spring constellations along with the moon and planets you can glimpse this season with our live sky tour.Program length is one hour.
