Overview

A concert + conversation around music, books, and the art scene in Sacramento.

Sacramento, you aren't going to want to miss this one! Amatoria and the incredible team at Abridged by KVIE are so thrilled to have Rituals of Mine as the first artists in this new series. Grab your tickets before they're gone for an evening of music, discussion, and possibly discovering your new favorite author or musician.

Rituals of Mine is the culmination of Terra Lopez's extensive and twisty journey through musical styles, finally arriving at her own unique mix of alt R&B, electronic, and trip-hop - with a dash of punk rock thrown in. Between her finely hewn voice, her deeply personal songwriting, and raw energy on stage, Terra is a singular live performance.

Joined by members of experimental jazz legends LabRats, Rituals of Mine will play a short set followed by an interview with Terra to chat about her background, her favorite books, and other Sacramento artists that have her attention. We're delighted and honored Rituals of Mine will be kicking off this special series.

Important Event Notes:

Seating! This event will be a mix of cozy floor seating with a limited number of chairs. If you will require a chair feel free to reach out ahead of time once your ticket is purchased.

Parking + Bike Rack! We now have our own bike rack right out front of the store so feel free to opt for two-wheel transport for this and any future event. If you are driving, there is plenty of neighborhood parking available.

Filming! This is a filmed event that will be the property of KVIE and shared on the Abridged platform. The focus will be on the artists and the interviewer but all concert guests may appear on film.

Bonus! By RSVPing for this event, you'll also get access to Abridged by PBS KVIE's free, weekly entertainment newsletter. Cultural Capital by Chris Macias will keep you in the know on all things local music. We'll also share updates on this exciting partnership with Amatoria — you won't want to miss what's next! You can opt out any time.

And please consider getting on Amatoria's newsletter too, we have poetry readings, artist talks, and great book sales. Here's a link to our site, just scroll to the bottom and enter your email.
