This one-day, hands-on workshop will help you break free from Auto Mode and unlock the full potential of your camera’s manual and programmable settings.

What You’ll Learn:

• The exposure triangle: ISO, shutter speed, and aperture
• How each setting affects your image
• Tools and techniques to control the final look of your photo
• Real-world practice with guided drills

Whether you're photographing people, landscapes, or everyday moments, this class will give you the confidence to shoot with intention and creativity. There will be a break for lunch. Food will not be provided.

Recommended Prerequisite:

This class is designed for Mirrorless and DSLR Interchangeable Lens Cameras. We highly recommend attending our ILC Basics Class before attending this workshop. It introduces you to your camera's menu layout, along with tips on gear care and handling—perfect prep for getting the most out of this manual-focused course.

What do I bring to class?

• We will provide a printout of the PowerPoint slides for you to take notes on. You will be able to take the PowerPoint notes home.
• If you'd like to write down any questions you have, you're welcome to bring those with you. We will do our best to get to as many of your questions as we can.
• Be sure to bring your camera, charged battery, and memory card. While this is a mosty lecture based class, having these with you will help you follow along with the presentation, take test photos, and address any camera-specific questions you may have!
