Finding Your Voice: Writing Workshop

Finding Your Voice: Writing Workshop

Overview

Unlock your creativity and find your unique voice this spring with a six-week writing workshop led by professor Rachel Sanchez.

Have you explored your imagination lately? Join us for Finding Your Voice, a six-week writing workshop to help you channel your muse. Each week learn a new skill about a writing technique as you work towards a final project. Participants will receive individualized attention from Rachel Sanchez, an English professor at the College of Staten Island.

This workshop is catered to those both beginning their writing journey as well as those more advanced. Techniques that will be covered include plot, theme, setting, characterization, and dialogue. Each participant will have the opportunity to present their writing piece at the final session.

The workshop will be on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, starting on May 20 and ending on June 24. Participants should bring their own notebooks or laptops. Enrollment in the six-week workshop is $200 for non-members and $150 for museum members. Why not sail into new horizons?

If you have any questions, please email Rachel Sanchez at rachel@noblemaritime.org.
