Overview

Get your hands messy and creative learning hand block printing with Clare Winslow in this fun, laid-back workshop.

Saturday, June 20, from 10 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

Carve your own design and print it by hand in this satisfying, beginner-friendly workshop! Using Speedy Carve, a soft and flexible rubber block that's easy to work with, you'll transfer a design of your choice onto the block, carve away the negative space with lino cutters, and use a brayer and ink to pull your prints. The forgiving, eraser-like texture of Speedy Carve makes detailed carving accessible even if you've never tried it before — and the results are bold, beautiful, and uniquely yours. You'll leave with several prints, a greeting card or two, and your very own hand-carved block to keep printing with at home.

Minimum age 13.

All levels are welcome

6 students maximum

$75 tuition plus materials fee

$25 materials fee is payable to the instructor in the classroom (Venmo/Zelle preferred).

Supplies by the instructor include:

Printmaking paper, ink, brayers, sponges, masking tape, newsprint, carving block, cutting tools.
