NYCxDESIGN Salon: Photography & Storytelling in Architecture

NYCxDESIGN is a non-profit organization dedicated to uniting New York City’s vibrant design community with the world. At the heart of NYCxDESIGN’s mission lies the NYCxDESIGN Festival, an annual citywide celebration featuring hundreds of design events, from exhibits and trade shows to talks and tours, drawing hundreds of thousands attendees from near and far, making it a must-attend for design enthusiasts worldwide.

<h3>Architecture is rarely encountered first as a building.</h3>More often, it is understood through a sequence of images: drawings, renderings, archival material, construction photographs, publication images, and final project photography. These forms of representation do more than document a project; they shape how architecture is imagined, communicated, remembered, and shared.Hosted by TenBerke, Building the Image: Storytelling and Photography in Architecture brings together a group of architectural photographers in conversation with the studio to examine image-making as an essential part of architectural storytelling.
