Join us for a powerful and deeply meaningful evening with Anjanette Young as she discusses and signs her memoir, Past the Pain.
On February 21, 2019, Anjanette Young’s life changed in an instant when police forcibly entered her home during a wrongful raid. What followed was a traumatic and widely publicized violation that shook the nation. But from that moment, Anjanette emerged with a renewed purpose—to advocate for justice, accountability, and healing for those impacted by systemic harm.
In Past the Pain, she shares her story with honesty and courage—detailing what happened that night, the aftermath, and the journey toward reclaiming her voice. Through personal reflection and guidance rooted in trauma-informed care, Anjanette offers readers practical insight on healing, resilience, and moving forward with purpose.
