This June, The Sanctuary Studio welcomes Dr. John Reynolds back for a special performance with the OCSA Jazz Quintet.
Dr. Reynolds serves as Director of Instrumental Music at the Orange County School of the Arts, where he oversees both the Garn Family Jazz Studies Program and the Frederick Fennell Wind Studies Program. A highly sought clinician and performer, he holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Studies from the USC Thornton School of Music, along with graduate studies at San Diego State University and a music education degree from Point Loma Nazarene University.
Equally at home on the bandstand and in the concert hall, Dr. Reynolds has shared the stage with jazz luminaries including Jeff Hamilton, John Clayton, Bob Mintzer, and George Cables, and performs regularly with the San Diego Symphony and other classical ensembles across California. A Lotus Trumpets artist and recipient of honors such as SDSU’s Outstanding Jazz Alumnus of the Year and the So Cal Jazz Society’s Jazz Educator of the Year, he brings a rare blend of artistry, depth, and musical leadership to every performance.
