Join author Melanie Hickman for her true story of love, travel, and wine—from Ohio roots to a biodynamic winery in Spain.

Join us at Birdie Books for a unique evening of storytelling and wine with author Melanie Hickman, celebrating her memoir Where Roots Became Wings.Melanie will share the story behind her journey from Ohio to Rioja Alavesa, Spain, where she and her husband now run a biodynamic winery. Through a short talk and conversation, guests will get a deeper look into the experiences, relationships, and moments that shaped her story.Each ticket includes a guided tasting of six wines from their winery, offering a rare opportunity to experience the wines connected to the book.Signed copies of Where Roots Became Wings and additional bottles of wine will be available for purchase following the event.Guests will also have the chance to enter a special giveaway for a two-night stay at the winery in Rioja Alavesa, including a private tasting and vineyard visit. Entries are earned with purchase—one entry per book or bottle of wine purchased, with multiple entries allowed. (Travel not included)Come for the story, stay for the wine, and enjoy an evening designed to transport you.Must be 21+ to attend this event.
