Learn how to advocate effectively, from Texas Impact, who has been doing it for over 50 years.
Looking for ways to make a positive difference in challenging times? Want to use your voice for good? Ready to engage in public policy but not sure where to begin?
Texas Impact will refresh our advocacy knowledge and set goals for engaging our faith communities around issues that impact the planet and its peoples. Be ready for midterm elections and the upcoming Texas legislative session by sharpening your skills and deepening your understanding with fellow faith-based, nonpartisan advocates. This workshop will be led by Texas Impact staff member, Rebecca McIlwain. She will bring practical steps to advancing your congregations' involvement as well as a clear description of the state of affairs and the role of civic engagement for people of faith. Time for interactive discussion with the speaker will be provided. This virtual event will use the WebEx platform. Registrants will receive a separate e-mail with WebEx connection details. All registrants will get a link to the recording of this talk. Contact Lisa Brenskelle at gcs.lrc@gmail.com with any questions.
