Mahjong at Park and Oak • Beginner Mahjong Basics

Join us! Mahjong is a centuries-old tile game that is steeped in history, art, and tradition, and will quickly become your newest obsession! Lisa from Blue Tiger Mahj Club will be on hand to teach you all the beginner basics: the tiles, the player card, how to deal, finding your best hand, and so much more! Enjoy a glass of wine while you get your mahj-on in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere!

Ticket includes:

• All mahjong game pieces, accessories, cards, and teaching aids available for use during the lesson
• One beverage of your choice from The Parlour at Park and Oak

5:45 - 6:00pm • Player arrival, shop the store, get your glass of wine, find a seat

6:00 - 7:30pm • Brief history of mahjong, learn the tiles, objective of the game, learn about beginner hands

7:30-7:35pm • Refreshment break

7:35 - 8:30/9:00pm • Deal, Charleston, and game play
