Women Who Whiskey-LBC was launched in October 2019 and is the third California chapter of Women Who Whiskey, an international whiskey appreciation club that Julia Ritz Toffoli started in New York in 2012. There are now a total of 25 wWw chapters world-wide. With over 40-percent of whiskey-drinkers now being women, it was time for women to have a space to become more educated and confident consumers. Women Who Whiskey became exactly that, creating a space for education where women can ask questions in a non-intimidating environment and explore spirits on her terms.We hope that you will join us at one of our upcoming events and explore whiskey along with us! Please note that all are welcome, regardless of gender (because it’s Long Beach, and we are very chill).

Join Women Who Whiskey LBC as we learn all about Widow Jane whiskey, and taste through five carefully selected cheese pairings!

Alder & Sage

Join us for an elevated evening of whiskey and cheese pairing, thoughtfully curated to delight the senses! Together with our talented partners at the women-owned and operated <a href="https://ohlavachecheese.com/" title="https://ohlavachecheese.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Oh La Vache Cheese Shop</a>, we've done the hard labor of finding *juuuust* the right cheese to pair with these exceptional whiskies. And the masters of fromage will be on hand to provide all the curd-nerd education you desire. Speaking of whiskey, we're showcasing <a href="https://widowjane.com/" title="https://widowjane.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Widow Jane</a>! They're known for sourcing some of the finest barrels of Straight Bourbon and Rye across the country. Each expression is hand-assembled in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York, non chill-filtered, and proofed with their signature limestone mineral water from the legendary Rosendale Mines of Upstate New York. They also distill weekly in Red Hook using premium non-GMO ingredients, including their unique Baby Jane corn varietal, carefully cultivated over time.We’re also thrilled to welcome one of our favorite humans, Paul Masterson, who will guide us through the tasting and share his expertise and passion for Widow Jane’s exceptional whiskeys. And finally, we are especially excited to partner with <a href="https://aldersage.com/" title="https://aldersage.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Alder &amp; Sage</a>, a women-owned Long Beach gem, whose beautiful space allows us to expand our event capacity for this experience! Good thing, too, because this one always sells out fast.<ul><li>Your ticket gets you a five-course whiskey and cheese pairing.</li><li>It's happening Thursday, May 28, 7:00 at Alder &amp; Sage in Long Beach</li><li>Tickets are $60 per person.</li></ul>
