Jeffrey Hanson- Doubtful Stamina
Join us for local author, Jeffrey Hanson, as he discusses his brand new book of poetry, "Doubtful Stamina!"
Doubtful Stamina is a testament to endurance-through love, labor, nature, and the existential tug of what it means to persist in a world that offers both wonder and weight. These poems reflect a journey of staying upright when the odds lean hard against us, of finding beauty in strife and poetry in the mundane. The title embodies the tension between resilience and uncertainty, a reminder that to endure is often to doubt and yet to keep going.
Jeffrey Hanson received a PhD in English and Creative Writing from Ohio University. After teaching for 25 years, he retired and moved to Washington State. Much of his poetry is autobiographical. After working at construction and doing six years in the Navy, he began his college career at 31. He has recently published a book, Doubtful Stamina.
