Message in a Bottle

Madrone Arts is happy to host a special FREE workshop with David Jacobson and Ellen Brook that celebrates the joys and benefits of handwriting a heartfelt letter. Participants will create a mini artwork, decorate a bottle with visual elements that reflect their message, and then insert the message and artwork in your bottle. Your very own message in a bottle!

David Jacobson (writer/educator) and Ellen Brook (visual artist) will guide you through this fun and expressive process. Past participants have written messages in a bottle to a range of recipients, including their ancestors, lost loves, a character from a favorite book, and past, future or dream selves.The process can lead to a a sense of peace and has been described by participants as deeply satisfying..
