Sewing Workshop: Make an Applique Tote Bag

Get crafty and learn how to sew your own applique tote bag in this fun workshop!

This is a beginner level sewing class where you will learn to construct a 15" x 15" boxed bottom, fully lined tote bag with cotton webbing straps. You will also learn how to make an applique and sew it onto your bag as an embelishment.

Students should already know how to sew - how to thread a needle, change thread etc. sew basic stitches etc.

All the supplies you need to make this bag, are included in this class.

You will receive a tote bag kit that will contain outer bag fabric (canvas or denim), lining fabric (woven cotton), bag straps (cotton webbing) and fabric scraps/fabric adhesive to create an applique (iron-on patch) you can sew onto your bag.

We will have sewing machines available OR you can bring your own machine if you prefer.

Class is best suited for ages 16 and up.
