Natural Dyeing with Invasive Plants

Overview

Learn to make a range of pigments from plants that can be found everywhere! This class is part lecture, part hands-on workshop.

Learn about a variety of invasive plants in the PNW that can be used as natural dyes! We will discuss how to process the materials, prepare your fabrics, and create a dye pot. The class will start with a lecture, and then students will have the opportunity to work with the plants, create a dye pot, and leave with a naturally dyed bandana.
