Overview

In this 2-part class, you'll learn about Florida Friendly LandscapingTM and the creative design process.

In this 2-part class, you'll learn about Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ and the creative design process.

Join us for an in-depth look at sustainable landscape design! In this 2-part class, you'll learn about Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ and the design process. Students will create their own designs to take home. We highly encourage participants to attend BOTH parts 1 and 2 to get the full design experience.

This workshop focuses on Florida-Friendly Landscaping™, analyzing your site plan and site conditions, and then selecting the right plants. We will explore the creative elements of the design process including various garden themes and their unique characteristics for creating beautiful, eco-friendly landscapes. Students will analyze their own sites, create a design that meets the functional requirements of their garden, the preferred aesthetic, and the sustainability offered with the Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ principles.

Due to the nature of the course, it is recommended to attend both portions. This class is designed to have a practical portion where you can take home your design and implement into your landscape. On the first day of class, students are responsible to bring their PLAT survey or yard measurements, and photos of their yard.
