Along with a discussion and audience Q&amp;A, Louise will also sign copies of her book.Doors open at 6:00pm with the talk starting closer to 6:30pm. Come early and grab a drink from the <a href="https://ptknitwear.com/coffee/about-the-cafe" title="https://ptknitwear.com/coffee/about-the-cafe" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">P&amp;T Cafe</a>!Tickets and books are available both on eventbrite and at the door.ABOUT THE AUTHOR Louise Marburg is the author of three collections of stories, the most recent being You Have Reached Your Destination, which was favorably reviewed in the New York Times and the Washington Post. She has been published in such journals as Story, The Hudson Review, Ploughshares, The Missouri Review, and many others. Marburg studied design at the Kansas City Art Institute, is a graduate of New York University’s Gallatin Division, and holds an MFA in Fiction from Columbia University’s School of the Arts. She has been a scholar at the Sewanee Writers Conference and a fellow at the Kenyon Writing Workshops, and her work has been supported by the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. A native of Baltimore, she lives in New York City with her husband, the artist Charles Marburg. Fancy Meeting You is her first novel.ABOUT THE MODERATOR Alice Kaltman is the author of two story collections and three novels. Most recently, she’s published a graphic memoir entitled, Alice’s Big Book of Mistakes. Her historical fiction novella, Mother and Daughter Sit for a Portrait, will be published by WTAW Press in 2025. Alice’s work has been nominated for Best American Short Stories, Best Small Fiction, the Pushcart Prize, and was a Wigleaf Top 50 in 2024. Alice splits her time between Brooklyn and Montauk, NY where she lives, surfs, and swims with her husband the sculptor Daniel Wiener and Ollie the Wonder Dog. Housekeeping notes:<ul><li>This is a ticketed in-store event with limited amphitheater-style seating.</li><li>Doors open at 6:00pm, with the talk starting around 6:30pm.</li><li>Books will be available for purchase at the event.</li><li>Cost of a book bundle ticket reflects the total cost of the feature event book (MSRP plus tax). Each book bundle ticket guarantees ticket holders one (1) copy of the feature event book.</li><li>The talk will be followed by a book signing. Books signed at P&amp;T Knitwear events must be purchased from P&amp;T Knitwear.</li><li>If you would like a signed copy and cannot attend the event, we're happy to take your pre-order.
