Step into the dynamic world of Seven Star Praying Mantis (Qixing Tanglangquan)—a traditional Northern Kungfu system known for its speed, precision, and fluid, continuous combinations.

In this 5-part workshop series, students will be guided through the foundations and full form of Seven Star Mantis in a progressive, structured format. Beginning with core principles and essential mechanics, the series builds toward learning and refining the complete form over the following sessions.

This series is led by Dr. Oliver Chung, a practitioner with over 25 years of experience in traditional Wushu, Sanda, and internal arts. Dr. Oliver has competed at the international level, earning top placements across multiple divisions, and brings a depth of understanding shaped through both performance and application.

His training includes study under Bow Sim Mark, a world-renowned martial arts grandmaster and mother of Donnie Yen. Through this lineage, Dr. Oliver carries forward a tradition that blends classical training with modern clarity.

In addition to his competitive background, Dr. Oliver has taught extensively—working with private students, instructing at his former school, and leading university club programs. His teaching style is both accessible and detail-oriented, making this series suitable for practitioners of all levels.
