Join us for the premiere screening of Celebrating America 250: Made with Love, a special episode of the Emmy Award-winning Made with Love series — airing the same night on Kansas City PBS.

This inspiring tribute marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by celebrating the artisans and makers whose craft helped shape this nation. From a New Orleans blacksmith restoring historic ironwork, to a Montana moccasin maker preserving Indigenous traditions, to Kansas City trombone makers carrying on the legacy of jazz — these creators illustrate the many cultures that built America.

As a special bonus, two Kansas City artisans featured in the episode will be joining us for a discussion and demonstration of their crafts:

  • Debbie Barret-Jones — Weaver & Artist
  • Mike "Horn Doctor" Corrigan — Brass Instrument Maker, B.A.C. Musical Instruments

This is a free event, but registration is required. Free parking is available in the front lot, with overflow parking in the rear. The KC Streetcar Union Hill stop is less than a block away.
