Iranian Sufism • Yarsan Wisdom • Zoroastrian & Mithraic Mystical Traditions
"Do you know what the music is saying? Come follow me and you will find the way. "
~Rumi
This is a Sufi teachings class rooted in mysticism and sacred remembrance, grounded in the living spiritual traditions of the Iranic world. It is offered as a path of study for those who are followers of the Sufi mystical way and sincere seekers of the path.
Facilitated by Master Dr. Farima Berenji with guest lecturers, each week we open in meditation and prayer, entering the circle through silence and breath. From this place of presence, we begin our study of a particular aspect of the Sufi path and the Path of Mithra, walking both streams of initiation through lecture, dialogue, and embodied practice, drawing from Iranian Sufism, Yarsan wisdom, and related Iranic mystical traditions.
As the teaching unfolds, we move deeper into experiential practice through zikr, chanting, and remembrance, allowing the heart and body to enter a state of devotion. Each gathering closes in shared poetry, reflection, zikr, and Sema, allowing what has been learned to settle into the body and continue beyond the circle as inner remembrance. Live music, poetry, and spoken word arise within the circle, carrying the teaching into feeling and presence.
Open to sincere seekers and those walking the Sufi path. No prior experience is necessary, only openness, respect, and a genuine call toward this work.
10 am – 11 am Pacific, May 2–30, no class May 23
No recording, no refunds. Please arrive on time.
