Are you a domestic violence Victim Advocate or survivor support provider looking to connect with other professionals in the community?Join our upcoming advocate committee meeting where we will have the opportunity to share organizational updates, discuss upcoming tabling events, and discuss resource withinin the community. We will have a special guest, Laura Puhles, Founder and President of Control Alt Delete, LLC who will be speaking. Control Alt Delete, LLC focuses on removing the barriers that prevent domestic violence victims from fleeing abusive relationships.This quarterly Fresh Start committee meetup provides a platform for domestic violence (DV) community partners to engage and network with other victim advocates in the community. Together, we'll create a collaborative space and share how we can best support clients, build connections, and support one another.You are welcome to bring your lunch to the meeting.RSVP to join us today! We look forward to connecting with you.----------------------------We are eager to connect with domestic violence Victim Advocates in any of these or similar positions:<ul><li>In-House Advocates</li><li>Mobile Advocates</li><li>Court Advocates</li><li>Human Trafficking Advocates</li><li>Lay Legal Advocates</li><li>Child Advocates (with a focus on DV)</li></ul>Additionally, professionals working to provide support in any of these areas are also welcome to attend:<ul><li>Order Protection (OOP): Including assistance completing OOP, contest hearing preparations, or court accompaniment</li></ul><ul><li>Address confidentiality program</li></ul><ul><li>Reporting</li></ul><ul><li>On-going safety planning: Including creating an exit plan, providing support when actively leaving or fleeing violence at home, high immediate needs, crisis stabilization, court advocacy, or legal advocacy</li></ul><ul><li>Case management: Including therapeutic referrals, referrals to support groups, healing services and workshops, or if client is seeking daily or weekly support</li></ul><ul><li>DV-specific needs: Including relocation, shelters/transitional housing, and more</li></ul>
