Sailing + Science: A Day on the Charles River for Roxbury + Dorchester

What is Sailing + Science?

The program is a fun, free day of on-the-water and on-land activities on the Charles River and along the Esplanade for residents of Roxbury and Dorchester and their families and friends!

It includes:

• Sailing at Community Boating--we provide the equipment and the experts!
• Kayaking
• Picnic along the river (lunch provided)
• Ice cream from Gerly's Ice Cream
• Learn more about cool public spaces, climate change, and what the Charles River waterfront has to offer you
• Learn about the health benefits of the waterfront
• Use a state-of-the-art microscope to explore water with BioBus
• Explore the Charles River Esplanade with an orienteering activity with Navigation Games
• Pick up some binoculars (we provide) and count birds with the Brookline Bird Club
• Visit the Museum of Science
• And more!

After registration, you will be provided with detailed travel directions. Two-trip MBTA fare cards will be available at the program or can be picked up in advance.

On June 6, a map that shows you where to go throughout the day will be provided.

Registration: Advance registration through Eventbrite required.
