Executive Bourbon Steward Prep Class at the ABV Barrel Shop (Arnold, MO)

Join us at the ABV Barrel Shop to prepare for the Executive Bourbon Steward Certification offered by the Stave & Thief Society in Louisville

The ABV Barrel Shop is pleased to announce we have partnered with the Stave and Thief Society to offer a preparatory class for the exclusive Executive Bourbon Steward Certification. This certification is in conjunction with the Kentucky Distillers Association and is the industry standard for a solid understanding of the bourbon industry. Most distilleries, whiskey bars and other businesses focusing on bourbon require employees to have their employees to get this certification (the ABV Barrel Shop requires an Executive Bourbon Steward Certification for its employees).

Overview of Executive Bourbon Steward Certification:

T his is a complete overview of the bourbon industry. Included in the training are:

• History
• Brands
• The people of bourbon
• The science of bourbon
• Rules and regulations of bourbon
• Production (you will actually do a hands-on live bourbon run during the class as they have a small production distillery tied to the education center)
• Sensory training
• How to put together a bourbon flight

A few notes about this event:

1. You must be 21 years of age or older to participate.

2. The event will be held at the ABV Barrel Shop's education center (6 Fox Valley Center, Arnold, MO 63010).

3 . This is a prep class and not the actual certification. Once you complete the prep class, you will get a code to save 15% off ($89.25 off of the $595 registration price) of your Executive Bourbon Steward Certification. You can register for those events by clicking here.

4 . Registration here is for the live class.
