Heather Jowett (she/her) is a comedian and wedding photographer living and working in Detroit. As a photographer, she was named one of the top 100 in the world by Condé Nast and has been invited to speak at conferences in six countries. As a comedian, the showcase she produces, Dinner. Show., has been celebrated as one of the best by such important critics as “her dad”, and she has been invited to perform in over six dive bars across metro Detroit. She’s only been doing comedy for two years. Give her time.
Tam White (she/her) is a stand-up comic and improv actor who honed her craft at The Second City and Go Comedy! Improv Theater. She is the creator, producer, and host of the improv game shows Hip-Prov and Soul-Prov, which have entertained audiences in clubs and theaters across Michigan and Ohio. Tam serves as the Talent Director for the Detroit Women of Comedy Festival and was recognized in Hour Detroit Magazine as one of Mark Ridley’s favorite local comics. Her debut comedy special, It’s About Tam Time, was filmed this past summer in collaboration with Open Bar Comedy and is currently streaming on YouTube. She has performed at premier venues including the Royal Oak Music Theatre, the Majestic Theatre, Hollywood’s The Comedy Store, New York's Comedy at the Carlson, and has appeared in various national comedy festivals. Tam has shared the stage with comedy greats such as Saturday Night Live’s Tim Meadows and Jay Pharaoh, Tony Roberts, Pauly Shore, BET’s Ms. Pat, The Daily Show’s Al Madrigal, Guy Torry and many others.
Shelly Smith (she/her) is an Ypsilanti, Michigan based comedian with over 20 years of experience. Her truly unique and hilarious comedy voice is full of quirk, whimsy and delightful absurdity. She’s originally from South Carolina and is equal parts ADHD and pothead. She has a great podcast called, ‘Reads and Weeds’ where her and her guests smoke weed and read books. She’s also the longtime host of ‘50 First Jokes Ann Arbor.’ Shelly has performed at Don’t Tell Detroit, Traverse City Comedy Fest, Gilda’s Laugh Fest, Detroit Women of Comedy Fest and Electric Forrest. She also ran a comedy show at the weed dispensary ‘Om of Medicine’ for 10 years - Re: Pothead. Her latest creative endeavor is ON HOLD, a one woman musical sketch comedy show about the infuriating trappings of modern technology.
Rey Tang (she/they) is a Chicago-based comedian, recently written up by the Chicago Reader. She performed stand-up in the 2024 SNL Showcase at the Annoyance Theater. She's also performed in venues such as Laugh Factory, Zanies, and Hollywood Improv.
