Projectorfest: Running in the Family + UNCnapping
Projectorfest presents multimedia comedy shows from Brent Birnaum and Josh Nasser
These shows are presented as a part of Projectorfest 2026, a weeklong showcase of ambitious multimedia-driven comedy projects. More at projectorfest.com. This performance includes two 30-minute shows.
RUNNING IN THE FAMILY – Brent Birnaum
In 2010, Brent Birnbaum was disqualified from his Bronx Science student body president election for breaking a barely enforced rule. Even worse: his dad had the exact same thing happen decades earlier at NYU. Told through interwoven timelines, Brent revisits both campaigns—featuring Facebook drama, dorm politics, a future NYC mayor (or two), and a not-yet-famous music producer—in a show that treats school politics with the seriousness it never deserved.
UNCNAPPING – Josh Nasser
Hanging with UNC has never been so cool :) (Ignore the part where he's kidnapped you lol)
ABOUT THE CREATORS
Brent Birnbaum is a New York City based stand-up comedian, writer, and podcaster. He is best known as the co-host of the comic book podcast Secret Identity, which he hosts with fellow comedians Troy Bond and Slater Harrison, and has been featured in New York Comedy Festival. Brent also opens for Troy throughout the country. Brent is the co-creator and host of the monthly comedy series The Pregame. The Pregame has been called one of "Top Five Things to Do in NYC" by Time Out New York and a "Critic's Pick" by Gothamist. Brent can be seen performing weekly in NYC at Broadway Comedy Club and Greenwich Village Comedy Club.
Josh Nasser is an NYC based actor and stand-up comedian. His comedy has been featured on Comedy Central’s YouTube Channel. Vulture and onmogul.com have both named Josh as one of the best up and coming comedians in NYC. Josh previously hosted the NYTimes recommended comedy show, Oh, Such a Huge Show, Oh at the Bell House, currently hosts the Jezebel recommended comedy show, The Trash King at UCB, and has also written episodes for the Story Pirates Podcast, which adapts children's stories into musical comedy sketches. You can find his previous work at joshnasser.com. And of course his favorite food is plain cheese pizza. He knows that’s a boring choice and he will work on it.
