Is there parking?

Yes! There is parking in front of our business and an adjacent parking lot should more spots be needed.

Question 2

What is the mess level?

Accepted Answer

Way less messy than wheel throwing or hand-building, but you could still get a bit dirty. We have large aprons, but we suggest coming with a change of clothes if you're going out after or wearing clothes you don't care too much about. The clay will come out of your clothes in the wash, though! :)

Question 3

Do you fire the pieces?

YES! Both bisque and glaze firings are included in the workshop fee! :)

Question 4

Do we get to choose the final color?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Before leaving for the day you'll fill out a quick, fun little form letting me know how you'd like your piece to be glazed (glaze is the colorful top coat that makes the pottery functional) :)

Question 5

What if I don't want to (or can't) come and pick the piece up once it's done?

Accepted Answer

We can ship it to you for a small fee of $10! Or if you decide not to pick it up we will smash the piece after 30 days.

Question 6

Will you let us know when the pieces are done?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We will send out an email to all participants from the event letting them know when the work is ready and the times/days they can be picked up. Usually, the turn around is 3 weeks - we need enough work to fill the kiln for 2 firing cycles.
