About the show:

Heather Pierson is a singer/songwriter, pianist, community songleader, educator, and musician with a passion for cultivating joy and harmony. Her latest recording, Alone At Last, a long-awaited collection of original ragtime piano compositions, will be released on May 29, 2026. It follows her trio’s 2024 release, Back To The Light, which reached #1 on the Contemporary Folk Radio charts. A ‘musician’s musician’ (WHYR), Heather is a member of the piano faculty of the New Orleans Traditional Jazz Camp and is a mentor to music makers of all ages and abilities. Whether playing stride piano, strumming her late father’s Gibson, wielding a melodica, or raising her bell-tone voice in joy and peace, the many iterations of Heather Pierson unite in a singularly warm and genuine presence, both onstage and off.

A Listening Room Experience

Hermit Woods is excited to bring talented artists from New England and beyond to perform for you. Each performance will provide you with an intimate, up-close, and personal experience with the performing artists. We ask our audience please refrain from talking during the featured show. Your silence will allow the artists and the audience to immerse themselves in the experience, which is not otherwise possible in larger, noisier environments.

The Loft Doors open at 6:00 for dinner. We encourage you to arrive early for our wine tasting and enjoy food and wine before the show. The show starts at 7:00 pm. When the featured artists takes the stage we will ask that the audience remain quiet during the performance. After the show, we invite you to interact with the artists and purchase any music or merchandise offerings if available.
