My child isn’t quite 2.5 years old yet. Can I still bring her to this class?

Absolutely! While your child might not grasp the S.T.E.A.M. aspects of our craft, they’ll still get all the fun of putting it together and the social-emotional benefits of a structured activity with other kids.

Question 2

My child is older than 5, but loves to craft. Is he welcome to join?

Accepted Answer

Definitely! I’ve had children as old as twelve join in on these classes and love them just as much as the little ones. Keep in mind that older kids usually finish projects quicker than the rest of the class, so may have some downtime. Coloring sheets are offered to keep them engaged while waiting

Are children on the spectrum welcome to join?

Accepted Answer

Yes! While I don’t have any formal training in teaching children with special needs, I trust that the accompanying adult will let me know what I can do during class to work with their needs. We'll be outside close to a main road, so children who elope may benefit from a different Steam Engines class

Question 4

How many adults are allowed to accompany my child to class?

Accepted Answer

The more the merrier! The more safe grownups that join in on the fun, the more special the memories you make will be. I’ve had students bring as many as five grownups to class with them. Please make sure every adult joining you is aware that this class is in the grass without tables or chairs

Question 5

Grandma wants to join the class, but can't sit on the ground. What can we do?

Accepted Answer

I can't promise that any benches will be available for us to set up near, but your family is welcome to bring a lightweight folding lawn chair (or whatever kind of chair you can manage!).
