Pano Youth & Nano Pano Present "Home"
Featuring our newest addition to the Pano Youth family, NANO PANO (singers in grades 2-5)
The youngest voices in our Pano family will share with us songs of our home here in the United States.
Explore the beautiful potential of our home as Nano Pano (our new elementary aged group) sings America the Beautiful, paired with Bach’s Prelude in C Major by David Moore. Our Youth Choir brings before us the frustration and hope of our country in “American Prophecy” by B.E. Boykin (b.1989), singing: “What grows in broken spaces?” The answer, of course, is these sweet strong youth singers themselves, who take “what was meant for bad to mold in their own hands.”
We invite the audience to join us in singing “Finlandia” by Jean Sibelius. Combining the familiar “This is my Song” text- “but other lands have sunlight too, and clover. And skies are everywhere as blue as mine” with a fresh new text by Michael Joncas- “A place called home”.
Our Nano Pano and Pano Youth ensembles will join together in our closing song “Does the World Say?” by Kyle Pederson, singing: “I don’t stand a chance if it’s me in this world all alone, so take my hand: Don’t let go.”
Join us to celebrate all that home can be when we turn towards one another in song.
