Summer in the City: Shockoe Institute
UR staff and faculty excursion to Shockoe Institute to explore the "Expanding Freedom" exhibit at Main Street Station.
Join us on a trip to the Shockoe Institute in Main Street Station for a tour of their Expanding Freedom exhibit. The exhibit traces and reveals the enduring impact of racial slavery on our shared American experiences and invites visitors to learn and reflect on this history so they may act in ways that help improve our civic life.
Transportation and boxed lunches will be provided on this excursion. A shuttle will pick-up participants from campus at 11:30 a.m. and return them by 1:30 p.m. Registration is required.
