What should I expect?

The Kirtan Experience is a participatory guided meditation journey accompanied by live music and singing, as well as sweeping visuals.  The kirtan leader sings a mantra, we listen and sing it back. The energy moves like a wave from relaxing and reflective to uplifting and joyful.

Question 2

Are beginners welcome or is some experience required?

Accepted Answer

Everyone is welcome and beginners are highly encouraged to attend.  No prior experience with meditation or singing is needed. Don't worry about your voice, everyone sings together, so no one will be put on the spot. You’re also welcome to just listen and soak it in if you prefer!

How do you keep events free?

Our efforts have been crowd-funded and volunteer supported from the beginning. If you feel inspired to make a contribution to help cover costs, we receive it with deep gratitude. Every donation helps us rekindle joy and peace in a world deeply in need of healing through the power of kirtan.

Question 4

What should I bring?

Accepted Answer

Just bring yourself and a friend or family member if you like! Dress comfortably for sitting and dancing. Yoga poses or asanas aren’t part of the event program, so there’s no need to bring yoga mats. Pillows for floor seating and chairs are provided.

Who is Spirit Soul?

Spirit Soul is a growing collective of meditators, musicians, artists and friends from around the world who have been touched by kirtan and are inspired to share this gift with others. By sharing these sound vibrations of pure love, we rekindle joy and peace in a world deeply in need of healing.
