Street Vendor Bike Tour Series

Join us for the second annual Street Vendor Bike Tour Series in collaboration with the Street Vendors Association of Chicago!

Who: CyclingxSolidarity, Street Vendors Association of Chicago, street vendors local to the neighborhood, and special community guests!

What: We meet at a central location and ride to a new neighborhood each month to experience the community, support local street vendors, and sometimes we find a local bakery. You purchase whatever you want to eat and drink. We provide additional support to each vendor using the funds we raise. We then distribute these items to people experiencing homelessness, in shelters, and to Love Fridges all over the city.

When: The last saturday of the month from May-Oct starting at 11am.

Where: The meetup location changes so RSVP for event updates and follow our IG for realtime updates. Our tentative schedule is below (subject to change).

1. May: Little Village

Rideout at 11am from Queen's Landing, across from Buckingham Fountain on the lakefront trail. Or meet us at the plaza at Cermak/Ashland at Benito Juarez at 11:30am (2151 S Ashland Ave).

1. June: Albany Park
2. July: Gage Park
3. August: Hermosa
4. Sept: Back of the Yards
5. Oct: Little Village

Cost: The ride is free! Since our goal is to buyout each vendor after the ride, we are suggesting a $10 contribution per ticket to support our efforts. You can also contribute at the ride. Venmo/PayPal/CashApp: @cyclingxsolidarity

About Us: CxS started in 2021 by combining community and cycling and promoting the other amazing bike groups throughout the city. We currently have 4 intiatives: delivering burritos on a monthly basis with Burrito Brigade Chicago, bike rides to bonfire spots along the lakefront, an unemployment support group, and our mutual aid efforts to support street vendors which includes this ride series.
