Kairos Music Academy Presents: The Sound of Music!

Our choir members embrace the classical European choral repertoire, while also exploring a wide range of jazz, folk, musical theater, and popular traditions. We emphasize high artistic achievement, along with the development of teamwork and social skills in an energetic and welcoming community.Our mission is to inspire a deep sense of humanity through the art of choral music at a formative time in children’s development. Music brings us together, not only within the individual, but also in forming community, and finally in creating a responsible and compassionate relationship to our world.

Set in the breathtaking Austrian Alps on the eve of World War II, this beloved classic follows Maria, a free-spirited young woman whose irrepressible spirit transforms the lives of the seven von Trapp children through the extraordinary power of song.Our Kairos adaptation brings this classic to life with fresh eyes, honoring the heart of a story that has moved audiences for generations, while infusing it with the warmth, joy, and artistry that make every Kairos production special. The score is one of the most beloved in musical theater history, songs you already know by heart, performed live by our ensemble in a way that will make you fall in love with them all over again.Join us for a wonderful night out, complete with food and drinks in the form of a bake-sale, and experience the magic of The Sound of Music performed live by our incredible ensemble of young singers.
