About Frank: Frank Shyong is an award-winning journalist who writes Lunch Box, a Substack newsletter about food and diaspora. He spent 12 years at the Los Angeles Times, where he covered the San Gabriel Valley, reported on ethnic enclaves across the county, and created the podcast Asian Enough. In 2018, he won first place at the Los Angeles Press Club for immigration reporting and became the paper's first Asian American metro columnist.

About Shlap Muan: Shlap Muan (Khmer for chicken wings) is a love and hate child between Hawk and Sophia Tea. It started out as a sandwich shop, but more importantly, as a way for them to get away from the corporate grind and honor their roots.
