Join us for the NYC SCION Queens Boroughwide Services for People with Disabilities Resource Fair in Jamaica, Queens.
This free community event brings together individuals with disabilities, families, caregivers, and professionals to connect with a wide range of disability‑focused services, programs, and supports.
At the event, you can:
- Meet service providers, advocacy organizations, and community programs
- Learn about employment services and workforce opportunities
- Receive information on benefits, housing, health, and transportation resources
- Get support from Workforce1 and partnering disability organizations
- Speak directly with staff who can answer questions and guide you to the right services
- Connect with New York State agencies serving people with disabilities, including:
- Adult Career and Continuing Education Services – Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES‑VR)
- New York State Commission for the Blind (NYSCB)
- Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
This event is open to all individuals with disabilities, caregivers, and community members. There is no cost to attend. Walk‑ins are welcome, but advance registration helps us plan.
Accessibility
A range of accommodations will be available to ensure an inclusive experience for all participants:
- The building is fully accessible, including elevator access
- ASL interpreters will be onsite for all presentations
- A designated quiet room will be available for anyone who needs a low‑stimulus environment
- The event space will feature NaviLens, an app that uses scannable QR codes to provide accessible navigation instructions
