NEPIRC Tour de Standard Work™ – 2-Day Lean Training Experience

NEPIRC Tour de Standard Work™ – 2-Day Lean Training Experience

Overview

Dates - June 2nd and June 3rd Time: 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Location: NEPIRC Hanover

Join NEPIRC for the Tour de Standard Work™ — a unique, hands-on 2-day Lean training experience that combines real-world skill building with meaningful community impact.

Over June 2nd and 3rd, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day at our Hanover Township, PA facility, you'll dive into practical Lean principles while assembling 30 children’s bicycles (15 boys’ and 15 girls’ 20-inch bikes). These bikes will be donated to local children in partnership with Community Bike Works.

The timing makes it even more special — June 3rd is World Bicycle Day.

This isn’t your typical classroom training. You’ll work in teams to simulate and continuously improve a live production line, applying Standardized Work, TWI (Training Within Industry) Job Instruction, takt time, work balancing, visual management, 6S, root cause problem solving, and Kaizen. Through multiple improvement cycles, you’ll create clear, repeatable work instructions, eliminate waste, balance the line, and build a smoother, more efficient process — all while gaining skills you can take straight back to your own workplace.

By the end of the two days, you’ll have strengthened your Lean capabilities, enhanced your team collaboration and problem-solving skills, and helped deliver 30 brand-new bikes to kids in need. It’s learning with purpose — practical, engaging, and genuinely rewarding.

Whether you’re a seasoned Continuous Improvement professional, an operations or plant leader, a supervisor, or just starting your Lean journey, this high-energy workshop is designed for anyone who wants to develop real capability while making a tangible difference in the community.

Spots are limited — secure yours today for this one-of-a-kind experience!
