Sewing Machine Confidence (SEW A PROJECT)

Do you want to learn how to sew  with a machine confidently? This class is designed for super newbies and those wanting to refresh their skills and regain confidence. This is a TWO HOUR sewing machine lesson learning everything you need to begin your sewing journey. You get to use your new sewing skills to sew a beginner level project!

What do I need to bring? 

Simply bring yourself! We encourage you to bring your home sewing machine if you have one. It’s not required and our workstations are fully equipped for your lesson. No need to bring materials or supplies. We provide everything you need to learn and sew your first project.

• How to set up and turn on your machine
• How to wind a bobbin
• How to thread the machine
• How to select the stitches
• How to adjust the tension
• How to make it sew!!

• How to straight stitch – creating a straight line
• How to zig-zag stitch - used for stretch fabrics
• How to reverse "back" stitch - secure your stitch
• How to sew two pieces of fabric together with a straight stitch and understand seam allowance.
• How to lift the presser foot and pivot your stitch.
• How to finish a raw edge with a zig zag stitch.

Have an open mind! This class is for beginners including those who have never touched a sewing machine. Simply be eager to learn and take the first step!

We also offer this workshop in a 1.5 Hour timeline. Does NOT include sewing a project, but a great option to learn the sewing machine confidently!
