A rarely performed masterwork; KING DAVID by French composer Arthur Honegger, 1892-1955. Sung in English, the work is highly dramatic and features a narrator, soprano, alto, and tenor soloists, as well as movements for mixed, treble, and tenor-bass choirs. The famous final chorus, "And God Said One Day Shall Dawn" brings some of the most majestic music of the early 20th century!
