You MUST be present for the safety briefing to participate.
OVERVIEW
SWAG Level 1 – Confidence & Skill Building is the foundational stage of the SWAG program, focused on building safe, consistent shooting skills in a structured and supportive environment.
This session is designed for women who are developing confidence with their firearm.
The focus is on controlled, bench-based shooting with an emphasis on safety, repetition, and consistency.
SWAG LEVEL 1
Participants in this level are:
• Building and reinforcing safe firearm handling
• Becoming familiar with range commands
• Gaining confidence operating their own firearm
• Developing consistency and control
Bench-based shooting focused on safe handling, control, and consistency—designed to build confidence and refine technique.
PLEASE
NO SPECTATORS
(e.g. children, spouse — open only to those registered through Eventbrite)
This is for your personal development as well as maintaining focus and safety on the line.
COST
• Club members $5 / Non-Club members $15
• Pre-Registration is REQUIRED on Eventbrite
Please contact a Director if you do not have access to Eventbrite.
WHAT TO BRING (Firearms and Ammo is NOT Provided)
• Bring your own personal Firearm
• 250 rounds of ammunition
• Eye and ear protection (required at all times) ELECTRONIC RECOMMENDED
TRANSPORT
Firearms must be transported in a locked case/container in compliance with CA law.
Bring equipment from your vehicle to the bench in a locked container.
RANGE RULES
• DO NOT uncase your firearm until directed
• AVGC is a cold range — firearms remain unloaded until instructed
• Always follow range commands
• Maintain safe firearm handling at all times
ATTIRE
Closed-toe shoes required
High-collared shirts required
No low-cut or open-top shirts
