Hialyssacomics Art Show 2026
The debut solo show of Vancouver comic artist Alyssa (@hialyssacomics), featuring 8 years of diary comics, prints, merch and special guests.
May 22, 23 and 24, 2026.
Friends, family and parasocial Instagram followers, welcome.
Somehow, I've managed to keep a comic diary—drawing one comic for every day—since May 22, 2018. For eight years, I've been documenting my life and sharing it online. That's nearly 3,000 comics. To celebrate my eight year anniversary, share some of my favourite works and hopefully make some money, I'm hosting a solo art show at the small but mighty One More Life Gallery in Vancouver. Here's what you can expect at the show!
The Diary Exhibition
A curated, IRL gallery of some of my favourite comics in the last eight years. No scrolling required. Enjoy the highs and lows of my life, major milestones and times my dog rolled in something horrid.
Comics vs. Reality Slideshow
Proof that art imitates life. A side-by-side comparison of comics and the people, places and events that inspired them will be running throughout the show.
Prints, Stickers, Merch and More
Buy things! Please! Art prints, comic prints, greeting cards, stickers and zines will be for sale, including several items not available anywhere online. I'll also have a small collection of one-of-a-kind merch created from thrifted clothing and hand-branded by me.
Special Guests
The poor husband. The cpap sister. The camo dad. The Christmas eve mom. The beloved grandparents. The wonderful friends. The senior dog. The other dog. All will be present for all or part of the show, either milling about the gallery or ruthlessly put to work by me because I rely on my loved ones for free labour.
